Galveston seawall

The seawall at Galveston Island is so fun with its paintings of sea life - I must have taken 20 photos as we walked along the beach! I made this 12" x 9" canvas using 3 photos of the seawall, grayscale photos showing the topography of the sea floor, and pieces of gold paper making kind of a floating, motion feeling. I've titled it Sea Wall Sea Floor Sea.

Contemplating Cactus

I took several photos when we were in Texas of the cactus growing next to our friend Marvin's house. I decided to print out all of the views and put them together in a grid layout. I made the 6"x8" collage first and then decided to do another variation and made the 8"x10" version. It was an interesting process to work with the same set of images on two different collages.
